Book a setup call

Less than one missed job a month. A lot less than a receptionist.

  • No surprise bills. If you go over your minutes two months running, we tell you and move you up. You’ll never find out from an invoice.
  • Setup covers the discovery call, configuration, testing and the first month of tuning. It’s free on a yearly plan.
  • Prices in AUD, plus GST. Cancel any month.
  • Prices shown are per business, not per user. Ring us if you run more than three locations.

The setup fee

What you are actually paying for up front

Every other AI receptionist hands you a login and wishes you luck. The setup fee is the part where a person builds the thing for your business and then stays on it while it beds in.

  1. The discovery callFifteen minutes on how your phone works now, what a good week looks like, and the jobs you actually want more of.
  2. Building your receptionistYour trade, your suburbs, your hours. What counts as urgent, what gets booked, what gets a call back. Your call-out fee, if you want it said out loud.
  3. You approve the scriptYou see exactly what it will say before a single caller hears it. Nothing goes live until you have signed off on the words.
  4. TestingWe ring it ourselves and throw the awkward calls at it. Then you ring it and try to trip it up.
  5. The first month of tuningWe listen to real calls and fix what it got wrong. This is the part nobody else does and it is why month two sounds better than month one.

Free on a yearly plan.

Minutes

How the minutes actually work

  • Minutes are talk time, not ring timeThe clock starts when it answers and stops when the call ends. A caller who hangs up after two rings costs you nothing.
  • Most trade calls are shortA booking or a message is usually well under two minutes. The long ones are the ones worth having.
  • Going over is not a penaltyExtra minutes are billed at the per-minute rate on your plan, not a premium. There is no overage surcharge and no cut-off.
  • We tell you before the invoice doesTwo months over in a row and we move you to the plan that suits. You should never learn about your own usage from a bill.

Run more than three locations, or more than about a thousand minutes a month? Ring us and we will work out what it should cost.

Worth it or not

Do the sums on your own numbers

We are not going to tell you what a missed call is worth to you, because we do not know your job values and neither does anyone else quoting industry averages at you. Put your own numbers in and see.

If you are weighing this against putting someone on, the honest numbers are in what a receptionist actually costs in Australia — wages, super, leave, workers comp and the rest.

Questions

The ones everybody asks

Is there a lock-in contract?

No. Monthly plans cancel any month, with the month you have paid for running out. Yearly plans are paid up front for the year, which is why the setup fee comes off — but you are not trapped in one. See the next answer.

What if I pay yearly and want out after four months?

Then you pay what a monthly client would have paid and we refund the rest. Four months on Crew is 4 × $499 plus the $495 setup that was waived, so $2,491 of the $4,980 you paid. The other $2,489 comes back to you within 14 days. The yearly discount is a thank you for staying, not a trap for leaving.

What happens if I go over my minutes?

You are billed the per-minute rate on your plan for the extra. Starter is 75c a minute, Crew is 65c, Growth is 60c. Nothing gets blocked and no caller gets turned away because you ran out.

Does the price include GST?

No, prices are shown excluding GST. Starter at $249 is $273.90 including GST. If you are registered for GST you claim it back, which is most trade businesses.

Do I need a new phone number?

No, and we would rather you did not change it. Keep the number that is on the ute and the signage. You divert it to us when you want calls answered, and undivert it whenever you want. Your number stays yours.

Can I still answer my own phone?

Yes. Plenty of clients only divert after hours, or on no-answer, or when they are on the tools. You choose when the diversion is on.

What if it does not work out?

Cancel and undivert your number. That is the whole exit. There is no data to extract and no system to migrate off, because your calls were always going to your own number.

Can I change plans?

Any month, up or down. If your usage says you are on the wrong one, we will tell you before you work it out yourself.

What about the setup fee on a yearly plan?

There is not one. Setup is free on yearly, which is the single biggest saving on this page. A year of Crew paid yearly is $4,980 against $6,483 monthly with setup.
